Friday filler

I love autumn!

Can't wait for my holiday to start and hope that my sister will like Brighton, London and the UK.

I'll try to roast a chicken on Sunday and hope that I'll manage to carve it.

I cleaned out the cupboard with all my tea. I have tons of it but always drink the same ones.

I started stitching a Christmas picture yesterday an expect it to be 60 hours of work.

Day at work was good fun though I wasn't too productive.

Weekend will be rainy and cold according to weather report so I'll spend it inside with reading, stitching and Dvds.

Friday filler

My sister and I booked our holidays on Wednesday. It is coming closer! It will be the first time in the UK for my sister and also her first flight! She is already quite excited about it! And so am I!

Since I found out that Zalando sells Irregular Choice shoes I'm checking the page every now and then to see if some lovely ones in my size turn up. Today I finally found lovely ones, red with dotts!

The shoes will be a great thing to wear for the dotty-party a friend is planning.

Yesterday I met a friend in town but as we met relatively late and it made no sense to go home I drove through half of town by tram and read to use the waiting time.

I read the second great book this month, Random Acts of Heroic Love. So much wisdom on 400 something pages.... And such a good book was standing unread on my shelfe for at least a year.

My bestie and I will watch Starbuck tomorrow.

I have a new favorite series at the moment, The Tube. Watched the 2012 one and now started the older one from 2003 or so.

Downstairs in the restaurant the piano player/singer is in action and it is good fun to try and recognice the songs he is playing. As sometimes he has his own way of singing/playing them.

Friday filler

I'm still quite impressed by A novel in the viola.

I started sewing a pillow this week and will still have a good deal of work to do tomorrow. Two zipper and six button holes.

My boss and me had to enjoy this last week on our own before getting an apprentice again on monday.

When everything goes to plan my sister and me will travel to Brighton and London mid september. I hope she'll like it as much as I do!

I see down on a railway track a bit away and while I had dinner on my balcony saw "Churchill Doppelpfeil" passing which is a red engine, who was nicknames "Red arrow" and since it was used to transport Winston Churchill when he visited Switzerland in 1946 is named after him.

In guess I'll bake apricot crumble on Sunday. Can't have enough crumble.

Friday filler

Sometimes when I have to wait at the station I count the wheels of passing trains.

I was prepared for a rainy day today and ended up dressed ways too warm.

I bought some stitching supplies today and the shop assistant asked me how I find the patience to stitch. Funny that's what everybody asks.

Started a new book today after it was standing on a shelve unread since late last year... A novel in the viola by Natasha Solomons. So far it is absolutely living up to expectations!

My new grey cardi arrived today. It's from a label called Postcard from Brighton.

Just had a really tasty dinner! Feta with tomato sauce! Yummy

Friday again

Why does the weather has to be bad during the weekends? That's not fair!

I got a mail today which contained good news for one of my projects! So now the planning can really go on and my mum and me are already very excited about it! And everybody else who is involved so far, is excited, too.

I'll have another relaxed weekend, might go into town tomorrow when weather stays dry just to have done something.

I bought SEW, the Cath Kidston sewing book and can't wait to start doing something.

"Put that in your pipe and smoke it!" I love the Dowager Countess of Grantham and started watching Downton Abbey again.

"Are you free, Mr Grainger?" And yes, I also love Are you being served? and since the episodes are all on youtube and I don't have to borrow the DVDs from my bestie, I watched some of them again.

Wanted to call my sis for a quick chat and we ended up chatting for more than an hour.... Mostly about our favorite topic; cats...

Friday filler

I'm so glad this week is over.... Soooo tired!

Weekend will be lazy so enough time for movies, stitching and just being lazy.

I hope my DVDs arrived today. I orderes The Iron Lady and Island at war.

It is not the most motivating thing to see a dog flat on the ground sleeping when you have to work and am too tired for it.

I love walks, no matter which season, weather and daytime. Though I should do it more often!

I wonder if I ever manage to alter my too long skirt....

Friday filler

I spent my holidays mostly in quite a lazy fashion and I really like it like this. I mean, you have to relax somewhen!

Yesterday, I spent a day with my fathers cousin. She is 81, very good fun and one of the most inspiring people I know. We only meet once a year but compared to this, our relationship is quite deep.

Somehow there is a prickle somewhere inside me and I really love to be more creative but I don't know with what.

I thought that I won't stitch anything for at least two weeks after my mums birthday present is finished. Though now I'm already sitting here with patterns for bookmarks for a friend, a Calvin&Hobbes card for my dad and some bookmarks for myself. Crazy!

I fell in love with a cat on Monday, but unfortunatelly can't have her before I've moved cause they don't want me to keep her inside for so long.

I really have to go back to healthy food from Monday on!

Yesterday was magazine day, bought two on my way home and when I emptied the mailbox I found my new Cross Stitching Card shop. Cant' wait to stitch the lovely All our Yesterdays card.

Friday again

I have a weeks holiday next week and will enjoy it at home.

Can't put "Whispers underground" aside. Maybe somebody used magic on the book.

I guess I need one of the Essie Summer edition polishes.

Do you read the Never Second blog? I came across it when it was in it's second week and always look forward to new posts. Unbelievable that Martha is "only" nine!

My Wednesdays horoscope said that I should go to bed earlier. Was I such a bad girls that the stars need to tell me?

I so enjoy looking after my sisters cars. What is better than cuddling with a little furry friend?

Friday again

I had a Friday again ready this morning but deleted it accidentally.

My bestie shocked me quite a bit when she told me about her moving plans last week. But now I've decided that it is time for a new flat for me was well and so I'm busy thinking about it.

Only one working week till my holidays! I'm looking forward to a nice and relaxing week at home and time to do some things.

My neigbours dogs drive me nuts at the moment with their constant barking. I love dogs, but at the moment it is a bit too loud.

I'm still stitching like mad in order to get my mums present ready for her birhtday. I worked for 40 hours on it and will most likely still need arround 20 more... Crazy!

One of the first things I'll do when I've moved is getting a cat. Really love to have pets and cats are just adorable animals! I really love my sisters cat-gang ;-)

Playing minigolf when it is 32° in the shadow isn't much fun.

Friday again

We had the most enormous thunderstorm yesterday. My bestie was at my place for dinner and we sat on the balcony watching rain, lightning and storm.

Unbelievable that it is already weekend again!

My Zalando order arrived on Wednesday but a lot will go back. Their dress sizes are smaller than usual.

I was in the mood for writing two or three times this week bit when I sat down to start I had no idea what to write.

I'm quite into trying new hairdos at the moment.

The bigger the mess in my flat the more likely it is to find me stitching or reading.

I just found out that there are posters with a picture of Winston Churchill and his phrase: "Keep buggering on!" love it! KBO at all times, Sir!

You might wonder why the pic is so blurry. It is, but it wasn't much better in real live! We were almost not able to see the neighbors house!

Friday filler

I'm on the way to meet with friends for Chinese dinner. It is already the 3. time we meet this year. Usually it is once in 3 months or so. We're good!

Still trying to finish reading my immense SUB.

We started to decorate our office with small post-it-figure. Today we created Perry the Platypus out of a green post-it-note.

My boss told me that I look quite confident with the way I dress. So I'll maybe post some outfits here soon.

Tomorrow I'll go to IKEA with a friend. Mainly because of meatballs. I don't really need something from IKEA bur will spend a lot for sure.

Friday filler

Had a good laugh when somebody tried to tell me that Sweden can't be in the EU as they don't have the Euro...

Really loved yesterdays thunderstorm and heavy rain. I mean, when you're inside it is fin

My todays dinner is a can of peas and carotts...

We (two friends and me) try to organise a class reunion though nobody seems to be interessted. What do we learn from this? Never organise something....

Spent a lovely afternoon (if we can call 45 minutes afternoon) at Starbucks with cheesecake and coffee. That's somehow my Friday-afternoon treat. We had dessert almost every evening at home, though it was "only" chocolate or a cookie during the week. But on Friday we used to have something special like cake, doughnut or so.

I'll look after my sisters cat during the weekend so I'll go over there tomorrow with a book and enjoy a hour or two cuddling with Sir James of Cuddleton.... The most cuddly cat I've ever met.

Yesterday I needed something to cheer me up so I watched some Pink Panther episodes but ended up watching Road Runner in the end. Good fun!

Saturday morning filler

I have a favorite Saturday breakfast. Yoghurt (prefarably greek yoghurt with honey), cinamon-apple cereals and an apple. Yummy! Sunday breaky is toast with philadelphia and lemon curd. So you see, I love my weekend ritual.

I'm stitching like mad a the moment cause I notices that there are only six weeks till my mothers birthday. I'm working on the picture since March but haven't done much yet, so it is full steam ahead as I calculated that it'll take 30 to 40 hours to finish it....

Visited my "substitute grandparents" yesterday and really enjoyed the evening. Haven't been there for at least half a year and somehow missed it. It is so nice meeting them, as it is always great fun and as they are both wonderful cooks and we always have something really tasty.
After dinner we watched some strange TV-movie about two guys who were driving arround on their mopeds but didn't came far as they spent hours in almost every restaurant that came their way.... But it was good fun as we were always comenting on the whole thing. In the end it was half past eleven till I went home.

Plan for today is a visit to the flea market, but I have to clean and tidy up first, as otherwhise I won't do it at all.

Weather is still great, the bad weather they've annonced for the next day the whole week long is finally postphoned to tomorrow. But I guess by tonight they'll say that it will be nice tomorrow and rainy on Monday....

I wish I could go to a streetparty this weekend! Or celebrate the Jubilee in any other form! But that's the problem when you feel English but don't live there...

As we're already talking about England.... Another picture of Brighton, and once more the walled garden at Preston Park. Exactly today a year ago. Miss it, miss it, miss it!

Friday filler

Back from New York since Saturday. What a fascinating town! Though it was a bit too big for me and I like London more, but I'll definively go back one day!

My SUB (stack of unread books) is reaching odd hights and I have to deal with it. There are nine books on it at the moment and to make matters "worse", another one (A Titanic Love Story) was delivered today...

A long weekend is coming and I don't have many plans. Only something today and the rest of the three days is very empty so far. If it stays like this it will be the second weekend without program this year! Unbelievable how often I'm on tour since last fall, before I often stayed home for two or three Saturdays in a row.

I'm in love with a perfume, Bulgari Omnia Coral and will go and buy it tomorrow. Tested it at the airport but as we had to go through security again in London I decided to buy it there but was too tired and forgot. I already have the Green Jade and really love that one.

My bestie made two or three nice pictures of me while on holiday. I really like them but when I showed them to my mum her reaction was rather nice: "You look old on them! You look like my cousin!" That's my mum! She is such a lovely person but sometimes she makes remarks that are far from lovely! But I still love her very much!

We've been to Ellis Island when in NY and there was a computer where you could check if you would have been allowed to enter the States or not. My bestie and me woulden't have much chance... As there was a question: "Do you sing or talk to yourself?" What sould I answer to that? Mahna Mahna!

Saturday filler

I feel like posting a filler today, though it is not Friday. It's been a bit quiet in here the last weeks, was not in the mood for blogging.

Had a great evening out with two friends yesterday. First Chinese food, then cinema (The Iron Lady) and afterwards a drink. Oh, plus ice cream on the way to the  station.

Only one week now till our New York holidays! Can't wait! I wish it would already be today in a week, round one in the afternoon (New York time) cause then flight will be over. And I don't really like flying. Especially not 8 hours flights...

I love the weather app with capricorns Gian and Giachen (which means John and Jacob) who comment on the weather in their lovely Grison dialect. "How do they call two days of rain after each other?" "Weekend!"

I'm back on track with losing weight, cause I want to fit into all my clothes again! Have a whole drawer full of stuff that it not fitting anymore.

I found a picture of my class when we were 12. It is a nightmare! We're all dressed in black, white or grey. One girl wears a brown shirt but beside.... Black, white, grey.... Did we really choose to walk arround in this stuff? Was this the way we dressed in the late 90ies? Gosh!

My sister has a new cat, Sir James. I somehow hope that he won't like her two other cats so that I can take him. Never ever seen a cat who loves to cuddle so much! You really have to take care that you're not cuddled to death!

Friday filler

I suffer from kind of  springtime lethargy or so at the moment. Could go to bed as soon I come home in the evening and consequently haven't done much this week beside sleeping.

I love rainy weather, it is not bringing me down.

Why can't somebody invent pills that makes you to lose 5 kilos overnight? I would take four of them!

Just killed the last piece of chocolate left over from Eastern....

Can you call somebody you've only met 4 times a friend? I'd say, yes, you can!

I miss Brighton! Have I told you before? Don't think so ;-)

Today in one month my bestie and I will be in New York!

Saturday filler

I had a Friday filler at hand yesterday, but than had no time posting it as I was busy reading "Moon over Soho". So you'll get a Saturday filler today

I always look forward to lazy weekends without having visitors or going out but normally end up bored to death.

Is there a better way to spend a rainy afternoon than by cuddling up in a warm bed with a gripping book, sa cuppa tea and some sweets?

I bought the first rhubarb  for this year today. Love it!

My new coffee machine is already in use quite often

My wardrobe needs some tidying up and I started it yesterday. Opened the wardrobe, made a cup of tea, binned two awful dresses and closed the wardrobe again. No motivation...!

According to my photographs I spend the afternoon today a year ago in Preston Park... Miss it!

Friday filler

I meet an old friend from primary school today for the first time in about 10 years. It was sooo great to meet again and to catch up with everything that had happened in the last 10 years.

I sorted out quite some of my nail polishes this week, binned almost 40% of them and will do a nail-polish-project in April

I'm still not sure if I should go away all Easter days or just two days or so.

Today, a costumour presented me with a chocolat-bunny.

I finally found out that Migros sells Cathedral City, my beloved cheddar.

My plan for this year was to read a book every week. So far I only got one in March and started two, Harry Potter 3 and "Moon over Soho" which I'll maybe finish during this weekend if I'm really working hard on it. To catch up I need to read three additional books ;-)

Zurich is such a wonderful town! I love London, I love Berlin and I love Brighton even more than London and Berlin together; but Zurich is still my "home-base"

Friday filler

It is Friday, thanks God! Some German blogger have what they call Friday-filler where they just post some thoughts. I'll start it as well.

I'm so glad that my mums surgery went well and I hope that she gets well soon

The lovely spring weather gives me a burst of energy

I did quite some household stuff this week

I should do more sport, just because of the nice feeling when I come home from it

My best friend and me will watch "The best exotic Marigold hotel" tomorrow

My boss and me managed to solve the Zebra Puzzle yesterday.

I wrote a post for yesterday on Monday or so and was completely asthonished when I saw it today! Completely forgot about it!
