Art Deco shopping

First day of my holiday. My night was short, wasn't able to sleep before two in the morning and woke up at five again. So was a bit tired and lazy all day. After noon I decided to go to the nearest shopping center, mainly because there is a sushi take away. But of course I also did some shopping.

I got a lipstick from the Art Deco Dita von Teese limited edition and a Mineral powder foundation. The lipstick is number 645, a lovely, pinkish red, best described as fuchsia. It gives a very smooth finish and looks ok for ages. I ate and drank and only noticed that it faded a bit, but it still looked neat and nice. And the bit I applied on the back of my hand as swatch still haven't really gone away after washing my hands at least five times.

I also like the Mineral powder foundation, this one is number 4, which is quite a bit darker than number 3. I use number 3 for the winter months but now it is too fair for me, I look a bit ghostly-pale when I put it on. I normally use a liquid foundation by Catrice or the matte mouse by Maybelline and then some powder (the cheap 1.99£ one from Natural Collection at Boots which takes ages to use up) but when it has to go quickly I love the powder foundation as it is two products in one.

There was just one small downside of my shopping. I was quite sure that the lipstick was labeled with 19.90 franks, though in the end it was 29.900 (which I only noticed when I was back home, otherwise I would have asked) and there was not pricetag on the powder... As I didn't asked.... It was 49.90.... If I'd knew that I don't think I bought it.... But well! They last forever, most likely much longer than my liquid foundation of which I always bin quite a bit as I'm not able to get it out of the bottle.

My whole shopping. Powder, lipstick, notebook, mousse au chocolat

Meet Mrs R

I always like to see the makeup of others as it is a nice inspiration and I always learn something new. But unfortunately I'm not able to get a nice picture of my own makeup. Don't ask me why, I tried it with all my cams and in various lights but it never worked and you don't see any colour on the pictures... So I decided to try it with makeup charts and been creative for a bit.

A summer in coral

As I said in my Friday filler I fell in love with the Omnia Coral by Bulgary. I already have the Jade and so I was curious about that one.

I really like its fresh, summery though somehow elegant smell. And I like the design of the flacon, even if it needs quite some space in my cabinet. Had a good laugh when I unwrapped it and saw the instruction inside the box. Well, it might not be easy to get some perfume out of this bottle without additional instruction ;-)

New York beauty shopping

What do you do in New York? Well, shopping I'd say!  So thats what we did as well, though it was not that much when I think about it now. Came back with much more from all my visits in the UK, but nevertheless!

As you can see, I stocked up on lip care and nail polish!
Labello Berry Swirl * Labello Cherry * Burt's bees, the left one is the Rose tinted balm * Dior Rouge Altesse Red Royality * Dior Rose Flamboyant Blazing Pink * Essie Forever Yummy * Essie Good to go * the big earrings I'm going to alter to make a broche * Mac Ruby Woo

Bestie been to the Lacome counter at Macy's twice and got this eye shadow as gift both times, so the second time she handed it down to me. Thanks a lot! I especially like the two rose-shades.

April Project

Clockwise: Rimmel Lovely Lilac, Collection 2000 Lemon Soda, Rimmel Apricot Punch, Rimmel Aqua cool,  Natural Collection Rasperry, Art Deco 96, Catrice Sold out for ever, Natural Collection Rosehip (in the middle)

As I wrote so in my Friday-filler I binned some of my nail polishes and have "only" about 30 left now. Which is still quite a lot ;-)

So my project for this month is to use them. Use them as much and as many of them as possible. 25 days out of 30 with nail polish. I hope I'll reach my goal. The ones in the first picture are my favorite spring/summer colours, I'll definitively use them.

I started this morning with my absolute favorite,  Essie Fifth Avenue. It matches my belt perfectly and is also a nice red to wear with everything else, like the flower tunic I'll wear tomorrow. The picture by the way is from last week, when I worte it with a matte top coat.

Before and after

I had sooooo many body lotions and shower gels flying arround in my bathroom and was buying new products all the time. In Novemer I decided to reduce the amonth of products by at least ten before buying new ones. During the last ten weeks I used up some small shower gels (I counted all of them as one), three normal sized shower gels, one peeling, one peeling shower gel, one oilbath, one bath essence, one body butter and a shaving cream that was half full for months. So this makes ten products and so I went to Body Shop last week to buy new ones. Well, there are still some things to use up, for example I do not need three body lotions at one time, but I just removed two of them and will finish one first.

My bathing tube before....
23 products but three shampoos not in the picture....
...and now
six products
plus two

Lea Lemons spa day

Tonight I decided to indulge myself a bit. Though, do I really need more indulgence after an evening with my best friend? Two episodes of Downton Abbey, countles cups of tea, pizza and our stitching made our evening. Yes, we do have a problem with keeping our hands quite while watching TV, so we do some multitasking in order to get our christmas crossstitching thingies done before end of November.

But back to topic. I came home and had the sudden feeling that I'd like to have a shower and then treat myself with some bodylotion and stuff. The full program, or at least the part of it you can do in half an hour or so and only with lemon-cosmetics. Lemon body scrubb by The Body Shop, body lotion and hand cream by Crabtree&Evelyn and a facial mask by Yves Rocher. Oh, and of course some tea, Raspberry and Lemon.  While I put together my sour spa program I had a flash of creativity. Halloween is coming closer, so why not practice with lemons instead of pumpkins...? Don't laugh, arts were never my strong point...!

Can you keep a secret? I was so busy with all my doodeling and lemon-carving that I completely forgot about my spa-plans and now it is too late for today.... I will have to postpone it and give it another go tomorrow evening...! With my favorite lemon-song of course; Lemon Tree by Fools garden
